Job Title: Benefits Analyst –Remote- Part Time

Starting Pay: $25.00- $30.00/ hour

About the YMCA of Greater Brandywine: The YMCA of Greater Brandywine (YGBW), an association of eight YMCAs serving Chester County, is a non-profit organization committed to nurturing the potential of every child, promoting healthy living and fostering social responsibility through life-changing programs for all.

Position Purpose: Oversees the development, implementation, and maintenance of benefits policies and programs. Ensures programs are cost effective and current with regard to competitive trends and best practices. Collaborates and consults with organizational leaders on objectives, policies, and proposed system changes and enhancements. Develops and/or oversees the development of processes and tools to facilitate administration of effective, equitable, and legally compliant programs. Ensures Benefits programs and practices contribute to and support the YMCA total rewards philosophy and ensures market competitiveness.

Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for the evaluation, recommendation, and implementation of Benefits' program changes and improvements
  • Ensure employee benefits programs comply with legal and regulatory requirements
  • Build a strong partnership with benefits broker, other third-party partners, and internal stakeholders
  • Oversee annual benefits open enrollment process for the Association
  • Assist employees with benefit elections/options, ensuring enrollment is accurate and complete for all eligible employees
  • Manage PTO entitlements and ensure payout calculations are accurate upon separation
  • Oversee leave management including FMLA, short-term and long-term disability for the organization
  • Manage PPACA enrollments each month, calculating eligibility based on hours worked in lookback period
  • Partner with benefits broker on various reporting requirements and employee inquiries
  • Prepare and file year-end 1095 reporting to IRS and additional regulatory reporting
  • Develop and manage employee wellness programs
  • Assist with various related projects or duties as assigned by supervisor
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent experience required
  • Three to five years of related benefits experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel
  • Ability to judge current operating systems and make improvements as necessary
  • Ability to motivate others, while being a team player in a collaborative environment
  • Must be fluent in spoken and written English
  • Obtain and maintain all new hire certifications and trainings within 90 days of hire
