SUMMARY/OBJECTIVES

The position is responsible for assisting with the administration with all of the bank’s Benefits programs.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Responsible for enrollment and changes for all benefit plans in HR information system
  • Assist employees with benefit questions by answering emails, Service Requests and phone calls
  • Work with various benefit vendors to resolve member issues as needed
  • Assist with 401k, DIP and ESPP plan administration
  • Partner with payroll team as needed to make sure employee deductions are accurate
  • Maintain accuracy and privacy of benefit records for employees
  • Administer life and LTD claims
  • Perform all activities associated with the bank’s Leave programs
  • Reviewing reports and adding or removing Cobra coverage
  • Acts as a backup of other team functions

COMPETENCIES

  • General knowledge of Benefits
  • Knowledge of common HR information benefit systems
  • Customer Service skills

Qualifications, Education, and Certification Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • Experience: Previous experience Benefits administration and HR Benefit systems. Prior experience in UKG and WorkDay preferred
  • Certifications/Specific Knowledge: Excel skills to include data mining using v lookups. PHR/SPHR desired.

TRAINING REQUIREMENTS/CLASSES

Examples: Required annual compliance training; HRIS system training.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Examples: Must be able to effectively access and interpret information on computer screens, documents, reports, and cash denominations, and identify customers. This position requires a large amount of time in front of a computer. This can be done sitting or standing with use of the right desk. This position may require bending and reaching.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Telecommuting roles no matter if hybrid or 100% full time telecommuting must have a secure home office environment that is free from background noise and distractions. They must also have a reliable private internet connection that is not supplied by use of cellular data (hot spot). Cable or fiber connections are preferred. Requirements are subject to change, as new systems and technology is delivered. Travel may be required to come to meetings as needed.
