The East Valley Institute of Technology (EVIT) is a public Career and Technical Education District (CTED) providing tuition-free career and technical education (CTE) programs to high school students – public, charter, and home-schooled – and tuition-based programs to adults who reside in 11 school districts in the East Valley of the Phoenix metropolitan area.

EVIT offers over 40 CTE programs at four centralized campuses. Centralized campus programs provide two to four hours of hands-on training every day and prepare students for professional certification and licensing exams. EVIT students who complete their training have a 98 percent high school graduation rate and 90 percent on average are in jobs related to their training, college or the military within a year. Two out of three EVIT students go on to college.

Applications are being accepted for the position of Behavioral, Mental and Social Health Teacher with the East Valley Institute of Technology. The start date is contingent upon completing required paperwork and obtaining a fingerprint card and teaching certification. The beginning salary range for this position is approximately $42,848-$61,850 dependent upon education and like experience. This is a full-time, 10-month position.


Job Summary:
To plan, organize and implement an appropriate instructional program in a learning environment that guides and encourages students to develop and fulfill their educational potential.

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college in a psychology, biological science, health science, physical science, or nursing,
and 6,000 clock hours of verified occupational experience in the health careers occupations;
OR
6,000 clock hours of verified occupational experience in health careers occupations;
AND
Valid IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card

Arizona Department of Education Career & Technical Education teaching certification in the area of instruction.
