This is an opening for an position for the 2022-2023 school year - February 2023
The BCBA Coordinator will provide coaching and programming for high incidence non-categorical self-contained classrooms (which include ABA and Verbal Behavior (ABA/VB). The BCBA Coordinator will provide quality school-based ABA based social/emotional therapy services which includes but is not limited to assessment/evaluation, intervention/treatment, IEP planning and implementation, discharge planning, related documentation, and communication between teachers, teacher assistants, related service providers and families. The BCBA will design and conduct staff training for high incidence classrooms as well as provide BCBA and RBT supervision for individuals pursuing BCBA certification. The BCBA will use his or her clinical skills to conduct assessments, write behavior plans, and assist teachers in managing student behavior. Finally, the BCBA may also provide training to parents and families of students with special needs. This is a full-time position 12 working with students and staff in the self-contained non-categorical classrooms and general education classrooms.

QUALIFICATIONS
The ideal candidate will:
- Masters Degree in Special Education, Education, ABA, or Psychology
- Board Certified Behavior Analyst
- Experience in creating and implementing ABA/VB treatment programs.
- Minimum of 2 years experience working with students with special needs within a school setting.
- Minimum 2 years experience in providing behavior services (e.g., functional assessment, development and implementation of function-based Behavior Intervention Plans (BIP), treatment evaluation, crisis intervention) to students with autism and other behavioral disorders.
- Demonstrates advanced understanding of behavioral principles and instructional strategies for students with autism and other behavior disorders.
- Demonstrates an understanding of the nature of disabilities other than ASD.
- Demonstrates superior ability to coach/consult with staff members with a variety of skill sets and educational experiences.
- Demonstrates excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues, parents, community members, and staff members.
- Demonstrates strong skills in partnering with other team members.
- Excellent time-management skills and ability to work independently.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
- Design, implement and manage evidence-based ABA/VB programs for identified students
- Provide high quality direct ABA services to students according to students’ IEPs.
- Conduct assessments (VB-MAPP/FBA), analyze results, and write reports to determine student strengths, needs and function of behavior.
- Develop treatment plans (IEPs/BIP) and write goals that are strength-based as well as child and family centered for overall educational improvement.
- Provide coaching and curriculum support for classroom teachers of students with high incidence disabilities.
- Serve as testing coordinator for the alternate assessment to include science, math and reading, etc
- Coordinate in school testing (NWEA, Amira, IXL) for high incidence classrooms.
- Analyze data in EdMod to identify progress towards students' IEP goals.
- Track BIP data, facilitate regular BIP meetings, ensure fidelity of BIP implementation
- Attend IEPs meetings and report on services as needed.
- Complete treatment notes and progress reports in a timely manner and according to school policy.
- Manage a detailed log of service provided and services missed due to student or therapist absences.
- Document all aspects of work with students in EasyIEP/SEDS according to school and state guidelines.
- Train and facilitate non-cat teams in the following areas: classroom environment and scheduling; planning and instruction; behavior management; and reinforcement.
- Train classroom staff and related service providers to implement ABA programs in Verbal Behavior, DTI, NET teaching, and across all environments.
- Lead quarterly analysis of VB-MAPP data during data days in conjunction with Non-Categorical Instructional Coach
- Provide Autism Screener and ADOS to identified students.
- Provide regular supervision to RBT - Classroom ABA Assistants according to BACB supervision requirements.
- Provide regular supervision to RBTs and individuals pursuing BCBA supervision in applicable classroom settings (Bridge 1, ECE non-cat, ABA Transition)
- Establish and coordinate a system for data collection on ABA teaching and behavior programs..
- Regularly collaborate with all instructional coaches to ensure classroom management strategies and procedures are implemented with fidelity.
- Coach dedicated aides of students requiring ABA support.
- Collaborate and coordinate with the Wellness Team for schoolwide classroom culture and behavior management.
- Develop and oversee individual programs that require ABA support for students with behavior needs.
- Build relationships with teachers, students, parents, school leaders, and local leaders.
- Maintain a high quality of service and high standards for program design, staff development, and instruction provided to students.
- Ensure all aspects of ABA/VB programming follow and meet best practices from the BACB board.
- Serves as a member of the ILT (Instructional Leadership Team).
- Contribute productively to the school as a whole.
- Attend and participate in school events outside of regular school hours.

SALARY & BENEFITS
Salary is based on educational level, certification(s), and years of experience. Employees will be contracted yearly. Contracts will be renewed according to evaluations and staff interest. Health benefits (medical & dental), disability insurance, and a retirement plan: 401-(k) or the continuation of the DCPS retirement plan.
