Job Description:

Cheers' bartenders are a representation of our quality and service. The ideal candidate will engage customers in the service encounter. Bartenders will interact with our guests and ensure they have a great experience while dining with us. You must be attentive, polite and possess excellent interpersonal skills. Guests must always feel welcome, comfortable and important.

General Responsibilities:

• Know the menu including ingredients, substitutions, sides, presentation and possible allergens

• Greet guests, take beverage orders from the restaurant servers or directly from guests.

• Check identification of guests to verify age requirements for purchase of alcohol.

• Mix drinks, cocktails and other bar beverages in compliance with company standards.

• Prep bar for service at the start of your shift. Break down at the end of the night.

• Collect payment for drinks served and balance all receipts.

• Ensure that the bar area is fully equipped with all necessary tools and equipment.

• Serve food to guests seated at the bar where appropriate.

• Demonstrate a thorough knowledge of food and beverage products, menus and promotions.

• Maintain a clean and orderly working area.

• Provide superior customer service at all times

• Build bar clientele

• Suggest drink promos and cocktail specials to FOH manager

• Perform inventory as required

• Other duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications

• At least 21 years of age.

• Knowledge of restaurant operations, service procedures and function.

• Have working knowledge of beer, wine and liquor and common drink recipes.

• Basic math skills and the ability to handle money and operate a cash register.

• Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time.

• Be able to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift up to 20 pounds.

Education and Experience:

• Education

• High school diploma or higher required

• Bartending certification preferred

• Experience:

• Previous bartending experience required.

Prior restaurant experience preferred.
