The Hotel Zamora, a beautiful boutique hotel located in St. Pete Beach, FL is seeking a Barback. The Hotel Zamora is under new ownership and management with Sherman Associates, an accomplished and proven real estate development and management company. Besides relaxing in the beautifully appointed guest rooms, our guests experience intuitive service in our Rooftop Lounge, Sidewalk Restaurant, Private Dining, and Meeting/Banquet space.

This position is responsible for supporting our bartenders and the operations of the bar and restaurant. A barback must be friendly, courteous, professional, and demonstrate strong communication skills. Must be able to manage multiple priorities, think/act quickly and effectively while maintaining self-composure.

Schedule: We are currently seeking part-time availability to include both evenings and weekends.

Pay: $11.00/hour + generous tips

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Restocks liquor, mixers, and garnishes behind the bar
• Performs bussing responsibilities such as clearing empty cups and trash from bar top and table
• Maintains specific side-work and ensures the cleanliness and smooth operation of the bar
• Performs clean-ups of spills or other customer accidents as needed
• Ensures bartenders are equipped with clean rags at bartending stations at all times
• Cleans cups and dishes in back of house; adheres to dish-washing procedures
• Ensures bartenders are equipped with clean glasses in front of house at all times
• Checks and re-stocks ice bins
• Assists bartenders in maintaining inventory of bar materials including, but not limited to wine, beer, and spirits
• Maintains knowledge of and adheres to Food Handlers guidelines.
• Completes other tasks and duties as assigned based on business needs

• Previous related service industry experience is strongly preferred
• Alcohol service certification is preferred
• High School diploma or equivalent preferred
• Ability to perform well under pressure
• Detail-oriented, organized, cleanly
• Must have a flexible schedule (may be required to work late shifts, weekends, or holidays as needed)
