We are looking for an independent, responsible and charismatic bar manager to run and expand the beverage program of a locally owned casual restaurant! This is a great opportunity for a seasoned bartender looking who thrives on autonomy to expand and grow!

Little Beast Bistro and Red Velvet Cupcakery are family owned local favorites for pizza, Virginia craft beer, cupcakes and more! The first Detroit style pizza in DC – named as one of the Washington Post, Washingtonian and Eater’s best pizzas in the city – is offered in Reston! We offer rotating seasonal cocktails, only local craft beer and a growing and changing wine list. Our menu changes seasonally and boast a wide variety of options outside our delicious pizza.
Red Velvet Cupcakery has been well known in both DC and Reston for over the last decade and offers approachable, delectable baked goods with the best cinnamon rolls in the DMV!
About you:
Ideal candidates should have plenty of bartending experience, be able to confidently deliver performance feedback, set goals, foster teamwork and a great work culture. A top candidate for this position must have strong leadership and organizational skills – marketing and/or social media interest and experience is a bonus. You should be self motivated, organized and enjoy cultivating regulars.
Bar manager responsibilities include:
-ordering beer/wine/liquor
-creating seasonal cocktails
-keeping track of inventory, sales and cost of alcohol
-working with the GM to oversee the daily FOH shifts to ensure ultimate guest experience
-ensuring bar is kept clean and well stocked
-continual training of FOH staff
-acting as MOD when GM is not on the floor
We offer:
-Base salary of $43,000 PLUS TIPS – the best of both worlds
