Banquet Set Up manually sets up, breaks down, and services all meeting rooms in accordance with the hotels high standards of quality.
Duties and Responsibilities
Set tables and chairs to meet function specifications
Clean meeting space including, but not limited to, vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, polishing, wiping areas and washing walls before and after events
Complete final breakdown of function by cleaning the room, and cleaning and returning equipment to its proper location
Transport dirty linen to correct area to be cleaned and restock linen shelves with clean linens
Set up, stock and maintain work areas
Maintain cleanliness of work areas throughout the day
Assist other departments when need to ensure optimum service to guests
Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards, anticipate and address guests' service needs, and thank guests with genuine appreciation.
Required Skills and Experience
Highly energetic and motivated individual
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with strong customer/client focus essential
Self-Starter with ability to work independently and as a team
Strong problem-solving skills
The ability to lift and move heavy equipment on a continuous basis through shift
Must be able to read and understand basic room set up diagrams
Must be able to life and carry up to 40 pounds and push/pull up to 100 pounds
Frequent bending will be required throughout shift
Must be able to work on feet for entire shift
Ability to work in a fast-paced, high pressure environment
