CSCP is responsible for strategic sourcing, customer demand forecasting, capacity planning and management, supply chain planning and execution, capacity provisioning, and decommissioning and dispositioning of datacenter assets worldwide.

We are looking for an Azure Supply Chain Control Tower Product Manager to join our team.

Microsoft’s CSCP organization is an exciting and fast evolving engineering group within Microsoft. Our mission is to deliver Capacity for all Cloud Services Predictably through Intelligent Systems driven by Continuous Learning and a World Class Organization. Our Digital Enablement Innovation team is looking to innovate our controls and analytics in managing the Supply Chain. Working in developing new applications for our control tower, whilst managing changes to data and processes. This will allow us to predictably deliver customer capacity on time while optimizing investments Microsoft is making into cloud services.

Responsibilities

As an Azure Supply Chain Control Tower Product Manager you will be responsible for the following:
  • Manage delivery within the CSCP team, to extend our Control Tower/Digital Twin capabilities to a new value stream.
  • Own program management accountability to define and launch the product capabilities that drive the desired business outcomes.
  • Break ambiguous and complex problems into a manageable list of epics and features with clearly articulated specs.
  • Engage with customers and partners to deeply understand the requirements and develop the product roadmap to address those needs.
  • Closely partner with the software engineering teams to land key product capabilities and business goals.
  • Proactively identify critical risks to the product roadmap and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and mitigate those risks by working across all the teams.
  • Continuously engage with customers, partners, and leadership to provide updates on product roadmap and collect actionable feedback.
  • Identify critical data and telemetry required to optimize the product functionality, and work with engineering teams to grow the required data footprint.
  • Manage metrics, dashboards, and analytics that track the performance of the product capabilities against the goals and optimize the product functionality to drive the right performance.
  • Perform rich analysis and develop actionable insights using a variety of data sets.
  • Hands on mind set and willing to get involved in all aspects of the product development.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree AND 8+ years experience in product/service/project/program management or software development
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • 7+ years of experience in Program Management, Operations Change, Business Process Management or related fields
Other Requirements:
Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Domain knowledge of high-tech supply chain environments as well as showing business/technology changes in those environments e.g. Show examples of changes in high tech showing deep domain knowledge
  • Experience in collaborating across engineering, Program Management (PMs), business, external (e.g. Supplier) and operational teams.
  • Experience with Program Management tools
  • Hands on experience in data analysis skills
  • Experience in software development tools such as Azure Dev Ops or Jira
  • Experience with change in the cloud environment
  • Experience of working with external vendors
  • Knowledge of Agile concepts

Product Management IC5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $133,600 - $256,800 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $173,200 - $282,200 per year.
