We are seeking one Service Advisor to join our lean and agile team and will report to the Parts and Service Manager. This role will work out of 8127 E Ray Road, Mesa, AZ 85212. This will be a full-time position. The primary purpose of this job is to interface between our company and the owners of an ElectraMeccanica vehicle. The Service Advisor will focus on partnering with quality, sales, delivery, ops, and service teams to ensure external customers, owners’ of our vehicles, are delighted with exceptional owner’s experience.

A successful applicant is able to partner and collaborate well with cross-functional teams and able to provide the best possible customer service experience to our owner’s.

General Requirements

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Answering customer inquiries, either in person or on the phone, about service outcomes and scheduling and booking appointments, vehicle drop-off, and vehicle pick-up.
  • Greeting customers and directing them to an available technician; using your knowledge of our productions to sell or provide in-depth information about the available parts and service options to our customers; informing customers of changes in service or when their vehicle is ready to be picked up.
  • Informing customers about potential cost savings and warranty protections.
  • Develop repair estimates by taking the cost of materials, supplies, and labor into consideration.
  • Coordinating with the service manager to manage the service shop’s workflow and schedule.
  • Prepare repair orders by detailing the vehicle’s problems or symptoms
  • Calling customers to advise them about service changes or car pick-up times.
  • Consulting with technicians about needed repairs and alternatives that can be offered in place of expensive repairs
  • Test-driving vehicles to confirm the customers’ vehicle is repaired as needed
  • Maintaining automotive records by keeping track of problems and corrective actions in the SAP S4 Hana system
  • Ensuring all details on services rendered and costs are related to customers and processing their payments.
  • Liaising with service technicians about parts ordering and ensuring parts are available when needed.

Requirements

  • Excellent customer service, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Strong customer service skills in order to handle customer complaints and questions effectively
  • Critical thinking, organization, time management and problem-solving skills to perform their job successfully
  • Ability to interpret technical terms to customers
  • Patience to cope with different customers’ personalities
  • Previous experience in Automotive/Dealership/Fixed Ops a plus
  • Previous experience with Dealer/Data Management Systems (DMS) – DealerTrack, R&R, ADP, etc. an asset
  • Previous EV experience a plus
  • Experience in a new product launch or start-up company is preferred
  • An associate's degree in mechanics or experience in the automotive field may be advantageous.
  • The ability to communicate with mechanics, customers, and management.
  • Safety conscious - abides by Health & Safety standards and emphasizes their importance to team members
  • High level of integrity and personal accountability; holds the team to the same high standards
  • Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement mindset
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple cross-functional teams
  • Proficiency with industry-specific software, preferred experience using SAP S4 Hana
  • Holds a valid driver’s license
