As Isaiah House is expanding, we are looking for a few Authorization Specialists to join our team! This position will be
at our corporate office in Harrodsburg.
An Authorization Specialist obtains and maintains authorizations for Residential, Partial Hospitalization, Intensive Outpatient, and Outpatient substance abuse treatment.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or GED
- Familiarity with ICD-10-CM, DSM-V, CPT, substance abuse and behavioral health treatment.
- Willingness to obtain and maintain proficiency in Isaiah House policy, procedures, and programs.
- Knowledge of various web browsers, electronic health records/payment management systems, Excel, Word, Outlook, and various provider portals – Availity, Navinet, Beacon, KYMMIS, etc.
JOB DUTIES:
- Verify insurance eligibility and benefits
- Obtain necessary authorizations in accordance with various insurance plans’ requirements via a variety of methods as well as staying current on these requirements
- Maintain up-to-date authorization-related information in all pertinent locations
- Coordinate concurrent reviews with Clinical and Medical Departments
- Comply with all state and federal guidelines
- Maintain strict confidentiality guidelines
- Attend any and all necessary meetings
- Contribute to the achievement of the mission and philosophy of Isaiah House
