A well-respected Robert Half client is seeking an interim Senior Auditor to join the company.This contract basis position will be responsible for the efficient completion of accurate audits and maintaining a level of auditing quality and financial accuracy for the organization.Your responsibilities in this role
- Assemble audit reports and present issues to the business while discussing practical cross-functional solutions
- Follow-up on the status of outstanding internal audit issues
- Under the supervision of the Internal Audit Manager, execute compliance, operational or financial audits
- Contribute to the creation of the annual internal audit plan and internal audit management
- Complete assigned audits within budgeted costs, and budgeted timeframes
- Must have excellent communication (written and verbal) skills to interact clearly and effectively in a fast-changing environment
- Proven success acting in a project management capacity
- CPA designation or equivalent, CIA or MBA designation highly preferred
- Bachelor degree with a specialization in Finance or Accounting required
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX), COSO framework and risk assessment practices
- 6+ years of relevant public accounting or industry experience
- Demonstrated ability to stay unbiased in a diverse working environment
