Are you an ATC interested in providing services to a high school and area club sports including football, basketball, volleyball, soccer, rugby, and more in the Farmington/Peoria-area?

This position is full-time with comprehensive benefits and competitive pay.

Job Summary:

The Athletic Trainer will assist athletes with injury recovery, injury prevention, and general development and maintenance of health and fitness.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Conducts an initial assessment of an athlete’s injury or illness; determines whether athletes should be referred to Physical Therapists for specific diagnosis and treatment.
  • Provides first aid or emergency care when needed.
  • Bandages, tapes, or applies ice to injured body parts as needed for specific injuries.
  • Assists athlete in performing and completing exercise.
  • Consults with PT supervisor on the readiness of athletes to play.
  • Provides instruction concerning and demonstrates proper use of equipment.
  • Provides information and instruction to coaches, athletes, parents, medical personnel, or interested members of the community regarding care and prevention of injuries.
  • Implements comprehensive illness and athletic injury prevention practices.
  • Travels with athletic teams to sporting events to be available as needed.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Thorough understanding of injury treatment and prevention.
  • CPR certification.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training or related field required.
  • Athletic Trainer Certification or eligibility to sit for exam.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time.
  • Must be able to carry, pull, push, and lift equipment necessary for care.
