Department Purpose

The UC Davis Department of Intercollegiate Athletics (ICA) in partnership with the Associated Students, University of California, Davis (ASUCD) has established a number of new full-time staff positions that will be referred to as, ICA & ASUCD Fellowships. These positions will be available to recent UC Davis graduates who aspire to work within Intercollegiate Athletics and meet the qualifications as outlined in the following job description.

Job Summary

Under close supervision of the Director, Multi-Media Services this internship is designed to expose the individual to all aspects of video production, digital, and social media platforms, including game-day video services, broadcast production and fan engagement and enhancement for all UC Davis men’s and women’s Intercollegiate Athletic sports programs.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• Lift and move multimedia items such as cameras, lighting, etc., weighing up to 50lb.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

• The Smoke and Tobacco Free Environment policy is intended to provide a healthier, safer, and more productive work and learning environment for the entire UC community. • Work flexible schedule.
• Work irregular shifts, including weekends, holidays, and evenings.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Education/Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience in filming and editing video, photography, and other multimedia platform segments.

Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSA) :

• Excellent writing, editing, typing, interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite.
• Use of social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, etc.).
• Quick decision making and problem solving skills.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Preferred Education/Experience:

• Experience in producing game-day video, replay and web streaming and directing/producing live events.
• Recent graduate of UC Davis.
