OLAPLEX is seeking a passionate Associate to join our Transformation Team. Reporting to the Director, Strategic Initiatives and in close partnership with the SVP, Strategic Initiatives and Chief Transformation Officer, cross-functional (Marketing, Operations, Sales, etc.) and external partners, the Associate will develop insights and help drive strategic initiatives and other top priority projects to grow our business and better serve the consumers and stylists who love us. He/she/they will be a self-starter who is excited about consumer insights and strategy – and has a passion for beauty. Core responsibilities – about the role
- Actively participate in strategic, creative problem solving as an engaged member of the Transformation Team on a range of different types of strategic projects
- Conduct international beauty market research, analyzing and synthesizing various data sources (market research, 3rd party data, internal data, surveys)
- Assist Director with design and interpretation of primary global quantitative and qualitative research on consumers and stylists (e.g., surveys, focus groups)
- Design, conduct, and interpret quantitative analytics, both with guidance of the Director and independently
- Draw insights, formulate hypotheses, and make preliminary recommendations based on analysis and research
- Create concise, persuasive communications to present findings and recommendations to broad audiences, including senior level executives
- Work cross-functionally to be proactive in supporting business needs and designing and delivering research
- Collaborate with senior OLAPLEX leadership, cross-functional partners, Advent International partners, external partners, and other Transformation team members to deliver necessary insights
Qualifications – about you
- ~1-2 years of experience in strategy or similar roles, including strategy, consumer insights, business development, etc.
- Strong conceptual problem solving/structured thinking skills
- Creative thinking
- Superior analytical skills, with ability to translate complex data into actionable insights
- Strong Excel and Powerpoint skills
- Understanding of key consumer brand and customer metrics, including ecommerce and digital marketing metrics
- Strong communicator, both oral and written
- Balanced ego as well as a collaborative and partnership minded working style
- Prior experience in the consumer industry is preferred, with passion for beauty a must!
- Bachelor's degree required
- Bilingual candidates a plus
