What you will do -

As the Associate Manager, Facilities you will oversee and coordinate the activities of the Facilities team to meet work order completion goals, quality, and cost objectives while setting and/or prioritizing team activity schedules based on machine introduction, equipment uptime, and building systems optimization. You will develop cost-effective project plans for maintenance and renovation projects and coordinates the work to ensure the successful completion of projects. You will be responsible for directing and coordinating the office and maintenance functions of the facilities department.

Additional responsibilities:

  • Will execute hiring, employee development, performance management, and organizational moves for Facilities employees
  • Will provide direction, expectations, and priorities for the facilities team
  • Will determine resource needs and support the budget process for the facility
  • Will research, document, create, route and track CER’s for the Facilities department
  • Will oversee, approve and monitor new equipment installation, including building and production equipment
  • Will ensure compliance with all aspects of the quality system, including safety compliance, maintenance, calibration and other operating procedure requirements
  • Will maintain facility building management system, 6S, inventory control, and housekeeping activities and minimize environmental impact
  • Provides direction for construction management services. May serve as or direct a construction administrator/project manager to ensure compliance with plans, specifications, schedules, and budgets
  • Will perform various facility audits and/or systems tests to ensure compliance with governmental standards/regulations(e.g. FDA, ISO, MDD, MIOSHA, EPA/MDNRE, ANSI, GMP, LEED etc.)
  • Works with contractors that inspect and service equipment and the building
  • Assists with the ordering, receiving, storing, inventory, inspection, and distribution of materials and supplies
  • Maintains and/or oversees the maintenance of records indicating receipt and disposition of stock materials and supplies
  • Performs appraisals of the condition and cleanliness of grounds and facilities
  • Prepares special and periodic reports as required for operation

What you need -

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering or related fields or equivalent experience required
  • 2+ years of proven leadership/supervisory experience required
  • Excellent organization, planning, presentation and communication skills required
  • Manufacturing experience - highly preferred
  • Strong PC skills required
  • Demonstrated history of developing and/or applying Divisional Best Practices - preferred
