Salary Type: Exempt - Professional

Reports to: Managing Attorney

Salary Pay Range: $96,000 - $132,000 Per Year. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire and will be dependent on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to geographic location, skill set, experience, education, credentials, and licensure when applicable.

Associate Attorney at Molino and Berardino, APLC

A 7-lawyer law firm in Los Angeles is seeking a litigation attorney with 1-4 years of experience in civil litigation. This position presents an exciting opportunity for a newly admitted attorney to gain experience in business, employment and finance Litigation. You must posse exceptional interpersonal skills, verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to sift through complicated legal and business issues and communicate only the important aspects in a clear and concise manner at all levels.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Reviews and assists in negotiating and drafting contracts other corporate transactions.
• Effectively acquire, assemble and manage legal documents and files responsive to time-sensitive inquiries/pleadings
• Draft complex legal documentation including, but not limited to summaries of significant regulatory developments, legislative history, and case law research.

ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILL& LICENSES:

• Knowledge of state laws and regulations relevant to the operation of an insurance company.
• Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
• Work in a team-oriented environment and meet tight deadlines and prioritize projects with limited supervision.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

• Juris Doctor from an accredited law school.
• Membership in California Bar.
• Minimum 1-year civil law firm and/or corporate counsel experience.

MACHINES, OFFICE EQUIPMENT& SOFTWARE:

• Westlaw, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Microsoft Outlook
