Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

This position includes the following duties. Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs.

• Desire to learn new development standards and programming languages.
• Ability to receive instruction from senior members of the team.
• Ability to adhere to corporate programming standards and Enterprise Architecture Standards.
• Ability to independently research, practice, and learn programming languages, tips, and techniques required for software development, testing, and deployment.
• Develop an understanding of business processes supported by the assigned system.
• Support the organization’s project management policy, practice, and methodology.
• Provide timely and accurate progress information to project status reports.
• Analyze and resolve problems of simple to medium complexity.
• Analyze, design, develop and test solutions for simple to medium complexity business problems according to user specifications.
• Participate in system and acceptance testing as needed.
• Participate in production support.

• Basic knowledge of software development, practice, concepts, and technology obtained through formal training and/or work experience.
• Basic knowledge of at least one programming language.
• Demonstrated programming aptitude and the ability for logical and abstract thinking.
• Excellent partnering, communication, and negotiation skills so as to interact effectively with internal customers and technology development and support groups.
• Ability, within a specific technology area and under direction, complete root-cause analysis, design solutions, write code, perform testing, provide documentation, and implement small development projects or components of large projects.

Education or Experience:

Bachelor’s Degree or certificate in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Information Technology, or any STEM-related degree.

Alternatively, possess up to 1 year of applicable related experience.
