Associate Financial Advisor needed to step into a key role for an Ameriprise Platinum Financial Services® practice in Chino Hills, CA. Position Description: - We are seeking a full time AFA to add to our team. This is not a sales role.

This role provides client relationship support through finding financial planning solutions for high net worth professionals and small business owners. The associate financial advisor will assist financial advisor in guiding clients through complex tax situations, pension plans, and wealth management. As a key member of the advisory practice, you will be required to coordinate with CPAs, Attorneys, and Pension Administrators to ensure effective implementation of strategies and advice. As an associate financial advisor, you will be instrumental in creating and delivering a unique client experience that defines and differentiates the practice. This position will consistently follow high standards of business and professional ethics and legal and regulatory requirements when dealing with others and / or performing work activities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree required
  • MBA and/or CFP/CFA preferred
  • Three or more years of analytical and research experience in an investment related field
  • Solid knowledge of financial investing techniques; knowledge and familiarity with the major markets
  • Basic understanding of pensions, defined contribution plans and non-profits
  • FINRA Series 7, 63 and/or 66 required
  • Morningstar, Thomson Reuters, Salesforce, Vestmark experience preferred
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel

Compensation
