Scope of Position:
EDF Renewables is seeking an exceptional initiative-taker and problem-solver to lead end-to-end strategic analyses and product strategy development for our solar, storage, and hybrid products. The ideal candidate brings deep commercial knowledge of renewable energy products and markets, possesses strong strategy development skills, and is passionate about leading indirect teams to solve complicated problems in a creative and diligent way.
Responsibilities:
  • Develop and lead solar and storage product strategies, in support of the Product Management Directors for the respective technologies and in alignment with the company’s strategic development goals to promote solutions that provide value differentiation in the market.
  • Lead multi-year efforts across organizational boundaries to drive solar and storage product strategy development, including energy market analysis, revenue stacking, regulatory analysis and recommendations, customer pain points and buying trends, competitor assessment, and differentiation strategy development.
  • Develop innovative products from commercial and technical standpoint, including new business models and hybrid solutions.
  • Deliver concrete, actionable recommendations to commercial teams for implementation in developing new business, including offering strategies, business cases, policy recommendations, and innovative products.
  • Develop and drive collaborations with EDF Renewables’ power marketing, development, valuation, risk management, and engineering departments and the global EDF team.
  • Other tasks as identified by the VP of Solar and Storage Product Management.
Qualifications:
Education/Experience –
  • BS in relevant STEM discipline. MBA or equivalent work experience strongly preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years experience in relevant energy markets, product management, or strategy development.
  • Experience directing teams to research, develop, and evaluate technical and commercial strategic options leading to product improvements.
  • Deeply familiar with energy markets and renewable energy industry; solar and storage experience preferred.
  • Comfortable in representing the company with customers, partners, and at trade shows.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with emphasis on Excel. Experience with more advance modeling tools encouraged but not required.
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities –
  • Demonstrated success in perform quantitative and qualitative analysis in the context of business development and transactions and possess fluency with project proformas.
  • Proactively leads cross-functional teams to identify high value technical and commercial product development efforts and drive to completion.
  • Simultaneously manages multiple concurrent projects, tracks progress and needs of each project, provides accurate and timely updates, and drives ensemble of efforts to meet annual performance targets.
  • Excels in a fast-paced work environment and keen to work in a dynamic, evolving industry.
  • Adept at communicating with supervisors, colleagues, and third parties; able to build bridges between diverse teams.
Working Conditions –
80% of the time is spent in the office environment, utilizing computers (frequent use of MS Word, PowerPoint, and Excel), with the remaining 20% of the time spent travelling to visit collaborators, project sites, end-user customers and to attend conferences.

Pay Range: $126,600 - $211,000 Anually
