Summary: *The Associate Director of Programs an integral member of the programs team, overseeing program development and partnership growth. Under direction of the Chief Clinical Officer (CCO), this position is responsible for developing, implementing, and analyzing programs in support of the organization’s strategic direction. The Associate Director of Programs manages outreach efforts to support long-term expansion goals with hospital partners and coordinates program operations with staff. This role regularly interacts with CSCLA members, potential members, program staff, trainees, partners, and volunteers, and has a strong understanding of CSCLA’s psychosocial support for cancer patients and their loved ones.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Oversee program development, implementation, calendar preparation, and cost-benefit analysis. This includes identifying, leveraging, and securing appropriate educational presenters, key medical and academic partners, healthy lifestyle volunteer instructors, social event leaders, and resources to meet the unique needs of our programs and participants;
  • Manage all onsite, virtual, and hybrid programs to best serve CSCLA participants and family members, recognizing the necessity in being nimble to service delivery. Oversee the preparation for in-person program offerings, including program organization, set-up, implementation, and clean-up;
  • Oversee and manage a Program Coordinator who assists with virtual, onsite, and offsite programming and coordinate with admin other team members in an efficient and professional manner to execute onsite and virtual programming;
  • Create and manage bi-annual program evaluations and member satisfaction surveys., maintaining accurate records in accordance with CSCLA’s policy and developing reports for various pathways of communications (e.g., Board of Directors, Hospital Partnerships, Fund Development) to highlight CSCLA quality and quantity of services;
  • Coordinate with CCO in designing, monitoring, and modifying annual program budget as well as measuring benchmarks of three-year strategic plan and annual work plan;
  • Assess needs of the diverse Los Angeles landscape to implement collaborative and culturally appropriate services, as well as strategize with leadership regarding the direction and implementation of DEI program efforts to fulfill strategic planning goals;
  • Identify and cultivate pathways of engagement for potential clinical staff, trainees, volunteers, etc., for our main , satellite, and virtual offerings;
  • In collaboration with the CCO, identify and maintain relationships with current and identified collaborative partners, including health care providers, grantors, community-based organizations, and faith-based entities to increase and enrich program participation;
  • In alignment with our strategic plan, work with the CCO, CDO, and CEO to expand the reach and capacity of CSCLA offsite and satellite programs at hospitals, community-based organizations, and other locations by creating and/or assisting with the creation of proposals and budgets. Help identify potential partners to expand service integration across Los Angeles;
  • In collaboration with the Development team, help coordinate volunteers to support CSCLA services, including healthy lifestyle instruction, front-desk coverage, special events, and other programs as-needed, including help with in-person program set-up and assist in assigning tasks to volunteers in coordination with program staff;
  • Manage participant information/member profiles in relation to program participation within Gnosis CRM system, working in close coordination with the Development team;
  • Assist with scheduling, agenda creation, presenter invites, and other necessary components of CSCLA board and committee meetings, including the Cancer, Equity and Diversity (CED) Committee, Professional Advisory Board, and Board of Directors;
  • Work with Clinical Supervisor(s) and training team to facilitate Distress Screening procedures with new and existing members;
  • Travel as-needed to coordinate care, increase participation and build capacity with partnered organizations, including offsite visits to referring hospitals and community medical organizations;
  • Assist with calls, walk-ins and other community member needs;
  • Facilitate New Member Orientation meetings, as needed.

Education/Experience
Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university required. Masters level training/licensure in social work, psychology, public health, or associated field preferred.
