Job description
- Assist in design at all stages with guidance of designers including sketching, detail sketches, tech-packs, trend presentation handouts and presentation boards
- Sketch and spec new designs, update existing sketches and specifications when needed
- Coordinate samples process to ensure samples are produced and delivered on a timely basis
- Check in proto samples, arrange samples and racks
- Send out and follow-up on packages for overseas vendors
- Meet due dates for all stages of design
- Participate in group meetings and trend shopping
- Perform market research to understand customers and to identify new trends, fabrics, techniques, etc.
- Some clerical duties include, expense reports and keeping detailed purchasing records of supplies, trim, etc.
Requirements
- 2+ years of Design experience
- High proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Power Point is required
- High proficiency in Illustrator and Photoshop is required
- 1+years' experience in wholesale sales and/or design
- Strong listening, written and oral communication skills
- Self-motivated and organized
- Ability to thrive in fast paced and high intensity environment
- Ability to flat sketch in Illustrator
- PLM experience a plus!
