Spiro is hiring an Associate Creative Director to join our Creative team. As an associate design director, you have set your focus on becoming part of a creative leadership team. You are proficient when it comes to inspiring and leading others within the masters of space, materials, and technology. Your superpower includes visualizing a client’s brand within the physical realm.

Responsibilities:
- Create environmental design ideas for events, brand activations, conferences, and trade shows.
- Create detailed 3D visualizations such as floor plans, perspective interiors, elevations, and 3D fixtures that are grounded in a strong strategic POV.
- Partner closely with a larger creative team to ensure that we are consistently and collaboratively bringing a big idea to life across the whole program.
- Inspire and lead other 3D experience designers in their development and creative ideation process.
- Daily interface and team building with the creative staff and extended Spiro teams to ensure fulfillment of client objectives, seamless communication, budget, time adherence, and quality of deliverables.
- Provide motivation, creative leadership/ownership to your assigned accounts and projects.
- Partner with Spiro disciplines to provide experiential, marketing-based creative solutions: strategy+planning, sales, marketing, production, and outsourced partners (media, content, etc.) as necessary or required.
- Ensure the creative team is gathering insights from strategy+planning team
- Oversee the building of inspiration boards by the creative team.
- Brainstorm initial direction with the design team and other creatives.
- Provide written design rationales outlining direction and tactical solutions.
- Daily interactions with the creative team – lead, coach, mentor, and develop the creative process and interface with executive creative director, sales, project, and client teams as needed.
- Lead development of presentation materials to support communication initiatives.
- Create visual brand applications and attendee journeys.
Qualifications:
Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience as a senior designer, with a background in brand design, environmental and spatial design, and building visual narratives.
- 4+ years as a design leader in an agency environment.
- A fearless leader with proven strategic ideation skills. A dynamic presenter with a fresh, solid track record of success in experiential campaign development and new business pitches.
- Obsession with the latest trends in design, culture, and innovation.
- Passion for finding the right balance of materials, space, and light to create innovative and inviting spaces.
- Experience with the entire design process from uncovering strategic insights to collaborating with engineers and producers to bring your idea into fabrication.
- Able to integrate with various disciplines and collectively build presentation and executional drawings including floor plans, perspective interiors, elevations, 3D fixtures, print, and digital media.
- An understanding of technology integration and collaborating with tech partners.
- A strong understanding of a diverse range of materials, finishes, graphic applications, and fabrication methods for environments.
- Strong presentation skills and an ability to articulate a vision and experience.
- A keen sense of project flow, helping you identify project challenges and appropriate paths to resolution.
- Solid visualization skills like hand sketching, Illustrator, and Photoshop.
- Expert knowledge of Sketch Up, V-ray modeling, and one or more rendering programs, such as Cinema 4D, 3D, and StudioMax.
