The Blue Health Intelligence® (BHI®) Analytic Consulting team, is a dynamic and diverse collection of subject matter experts (SMEs) with extensive experience in healthcare economics, claims data analysis, episode groupers, provider analytics, value-based care, clinical quality measures, employer reporting, and benchmarking studies. The Analytic Consulting team at BHI recruits individuals with degrees and work experience across different disciplines with an emphasis on the ability to critically think, work and contribute in a group setting, work cross functionally among teams / departments, and has a track record of being a self-starter. As a new hire, you will be provided on-the-job training and ongoing mentorship along the way that will allow you to develop the skills and business acumen necessary to successfully navigate the big data assets available. Position Summary
Associate Consultants are supporting members of the BHI Analytic Consulting team and are responsible for contributing to the development and integration of BHI solutions with Plan and non-Plan stakeholders to solve business problems and increase adoption of BHI driven solutions. This position will conduct a variety of analyses across different “big data” environments to generate descriptive statistics, quantitative summaries, insights, and recommendations that address key business questions for our clients. Associate Consultants typically start their new role under the guidance of more senior team members but are quickly expected to contribute to all aspects of client engagements. In their first two years with the team, Associate Consultants are expected to assume an active role running workstreams / project efforts and mentoring more junior colleagues. The analytical rigor, attention to detail, and creativity of our Associate Consultants’ work is critical to the success of our Analytic Consulting team as a whole.
Job Responsibilities

• Execute high-quality, logical, and timely strategic analysis using a wide range of ‘big data” assets
• Take ownership of assigned project tasks in supporting the analysis/execution plan to derive trends, conclusions, and actionable recommendations for clients
• Provide support to Analytic Consulting team members in preparing presentations, data visualizations and other deliverables to clients
• Assist Business Analyst as needed in collecting and assembling information and materials for requirements definitions and documenting methodologies
• Execute test cases as part of overall QC/QA plan to ensure high quality work product and flawless delivery to clients
• Actively participate in internal brainstorming sessions, collaborate with project team, and exercise informed business judgement in identifying the best approach to address key client needs
• Translate analyses into thorough and insightful conclusions, data visualizations and outputs to address client issues and succinctly deliver conclusions and key takeaways to clients via reports, presentations, and other engagement tools
• Manage upward by communicating progress and challenges, request guidance when needed, present potential solutions, and identify next steps
• Develop deep knowledge of the healthcare industry and consulting methodologies

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in business, analytic, or computer science-related field with a strong academic record (GPA 3.5 / 4 or higher)
• 1 to 2 years of work experience in consulting, data analytics, or other relevant areas within the healthcare industry
• 2 to 3+ years’ experience with large health care informatics
• Good project management, time management and organizational skills (JIRA, Smartsheet is a plus)
• Excellent problem-solving abilities, exceptional communication skills, strong quantitative skills, and be a proven team contributor
• Excellent conversational and business English (written and oral)
• Exceptional IT literacy in Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Visio, SQL (R, Python, Tableau is a plus)
• An intellectual curiosity in and desire to learn about the constantly evolving healthcare industry
• Is familiar with SOC 2 compliance and its impact on company policies and processes
• Understands importance of adhering to SOC 2 requirements, and maintains an effort to do so
• Reviews and understands the Employee Handbook, and internal policies that define individual security responsibilities, and maintains segregation of duties in accordance to their role requirements
