Management Leadership for Tomorrow (MLT) is seeking a highly organized professional with strong program management skills to join our College Programs team. MLT prepares men and women of color to secure high trajectory post-college jobs that deliver economic mobility for their families, and then provides the social capital they need to become high-impact senior leaders who can transform our institutions and vulnerable communities. Spanning college through mid-career, MLT’s programs have driven breakthrough results for more than 8,000 underrepresented minorities and 130+ partner organizations including leading corporations, social-sector organizations and universities.
The Associate manages key elements of the programs’ daily operations by managing all communication with core constituents - Fellows, MLT colleagues and coaches, and partners; coordinating the application process; and collecting, analyzing, and reporting critical student data related to program outcomes. The position collaborates with a dedicated and diverse program management team to help manage our enterprise systems, plan events, coordinate travel, and process reimbursements.
Program Management
- Support program and project management initiatives as directed by the Program Manager, and Senior Director
- Identify day-to-day process issues and act independently to fix them; for more systemic program or technology challenges, suggest tools or recommend improvements to existing program processes and best practices
- With supervisor oversight, partner with the MLT Events team to manage end-to-end logistics and communication for Career Prep in-person and virtual trainings, events, and webinars including travel coordination and processing reimbursements
- Facilitate, convene, and coordinate internal meetings from start to finish, including providing accurate and consistent meeting minutes and notes
- Contribute to the Fellow application review process by thoughtfully reviewing assigned applications, and sharing insights on candidate profiles during the admission discussions
Technology & Data Management
- Manage the collection, maintenance, and reporting of all Career Prep program data, including but not limited to participant and alumni records and program outcomes
- Create and distribute program surveys and assessments pertaining to seminars, events, and program performance
- Serve as liaison for technology support for Salesforce (including reporting and dashboard creation), Canvas, Asana, Symplicity, QuestionPro, and other platforms
- Fiercely protect data to ensure participant privacy and adherence to program and organizational best-practices
Relationship Management & Communication
- Develop a professional brand of excellence and establish honest and meaningful relationships with stakeholders, supervisor(s), and team member(s)
- Establish and build rapport and positive relationships with program participants, coaches, MLT corporate partners, and internal staff members
- Develop and manage Career Prep program communications such as newsletters, announcements, and Zoom webinars
- Respond promptly written and verbal communications to Career Prep fellows regarding program inquiries
Baseline Requirements
- Bachelor's degree with 2-3 years of relevant corporate, business, or non-profit experience in program management or project management support; relevant startup experience (including internships) also considered
- A demonstrated track record of achieving consistent, measurable results in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently and as a collaborative team member
- Acute attention to detail, substantial organization skills, and sensitivity to timelines
- Demonstrated proficiency in critical thinking, problem solving, and data analysis
- Coachable and receptive to all forms of feedback from stakeholders, colleagues, and supervisors, and proactive to implement changes
- Excellent communication skills, including demonstrated experience leading meetings and presenting to internal and external audiences at various organizational levels
- PowerPoint: Graphs, Charts, Data Storytelling
- A positive, optimistic, and solutions-focused attitude when faced with changes, set-backs, or ambiguity
Preferred Requirements
- Demonstrated ability to multitask with competing priorities
- Intermediate knowledge and experience in:
- Excel: Pivot Tables, Vlookups, Countifs, Graphs & Charts
- Salesforce: Data Entry, Dashboard, Report development
- Customer-service experience is a plus
