Assistant Vice President, Physician Services


A new leadership opportunity exists within our growing Physician Services team, for an experienced Finance professional.


Reporting to the Vice President of Physician Services, the Assistant Vice President will assume oversight for the financial services operations of our hospital-based private medical staff and employed physicians, as well as manage all aspects of the department related to compensation accounting, financial reporting, and financial planning. You will serve as a representative of the department through active participation at committees, conferences and related meetings.


Other duties will include:

  • Supervising financial services support staff
  • Developing/monitoring all matters related to financial reporting
  • Working in cooperation with Practice Management , Revenue Cycle and Service Line leadership on special projects.
  • Developing/monitoring physician compensation to maintain compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements
  • Coordinating budget planning and preparation
  • Conducting financial analysis related to new physician hires and contract renewals
  • Managing medical staff contracts

Qualifications


The successful candidate will possess a minimum of 8-10 years’ progressive experience in a hospital or physician services setting. A strong customer service orientation with the ability to manage and motivate staff, build relationships and work effectively with high-functioning teams will be crucial. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, excellent written, oral and presentation skills and a Master’s degree or eligible is also required.
