ABOUT THE POSITION:

Innovative, dedicated, and extrovert are some of the skills we are looking for in candidates for Study Hall: Rooftop Lounge’s Assistant Restaurant Manager. You will assist with the supervision of the bar/restaurant staff, quality control, interviews, and training. Qualified candidates will have experience with coaching employees in the efficient and effective operation of a restaurant. You will have working knowledge of restaurant operations, organize and conduct pre-shift and departmental meetings. You should also be confident when addressing customers' complaints and queries in a swift, courteous manner. ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversee employees and operation ensuring organization, cleanliness, proper maintenance and supplies
  • Provides floor coverage as needed
  • Ensures proper handling of guest checks and payment transactions
  • Intercedes and/or fills in for employees should need occur
  • Trains or supervises the training of all department employees
  • Notifies immediate supervisor promptly and fully of all problems or unusual matters of significance
  • Is polite, friendly, and helpful to the guests, management and fellow employees
  • Attends all appropriate hotel meetings and training sessions
  • Maintains cleanliness and excellent condition of equipment and work area
  • Executes emergency procedures in accordance with hotel standards
Requirements:
  • Previous supervisory experience within a restaurant is preferrable
  • Must have open availability
  • Accounting and arithmetic skills
  • Strong leadership skills with the capacity for development
  • Ability to resolve conflict in a professional manner
  • Innovative and trustworthy
  • Ability to remain impartial during conflict
  • Available to work evenings, weekends and holidays
