Position
Summary:
The Department of Music at Rollins College welcomes applications for a full-time, tenure-track faculty position in piano at the rank of Assistant Professor of Music beginning in August 2023.
The primary responsibilities will be to teach applied piano and collaborative piano to music majors along with related keyboard courses including piano pedagogy, literature of the piano, and keyboard harmony. Other teaching responsibilities will include teaching in the Rollins general education program, notably known as Rollins Foundation of the Liberal Arts. The successful candidate must show significant experience as a performer and teacher and demonstrate a strong commitment to excellent, innovative teaching. The appointee will also be expected to serve on departmental committees, and participate in faculty governance as needed.

Minimum Qualifications and Education:
- Doctor of Musical Arts degree in piano performance at the time of appointment.
- Evidence of professional experience with solo and collaborative performances, nationally and internationally.
- Demonstrated success as an innovative classroom teacher.
- Experience working cooperatively with faculty, students, and staff.
- Commitment to nurturing a broad range of students of diverse identities and experiences, as demonstrated through pedagogy, service, and other activities.
Preferred
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 4-years of successful full-time, college-level teaching in applied piano, piano related courses and general education.
- Broad experience in recruiting piano students.
