Deputy Auditor – Assistant Payroll and Finance Clerk

Duties:

Specific duties of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:

Greeting customers and directing them to the appropriate area of the office for assistance

Issuing Dog and Kennel Licenses, Vendor’s Licenses, and Retail Cigarette Licenses to online and in-person customers

Issuing receipts to County offices for deposits of funds into the County Treasury

Assisting the Payroll Department with duties including, but not limited to:

o New Hire processing

o Processing changes to employee wages, tax withholdings, payroll deductions, etc.

o Employee Termination processing

o Biweekly Payroll verification and processing

o OPERS/STRS Retirement Reporting

o Payroll report processing and distribution

o Health Insurance billing and reconciliation

Assisting the Finance Department with duties including, but not limited to:

o Entry and monitoring of budget information in the financial management system

o Requisition and purchase order verification and processing

o Receipt verification and posting

o Expenditure verification and processing

o Maintenance of vendor database

Organizing and monitoring office supplies inventory

Filing of various forms and documents

Other duties as required

Qualifications:

Employee will be fully trained upon hire; however, basic qualifications for the position are as follows:

Required:

Minimum high school or equivalent education

Computer literacy

Punctuality and Dependability

Preferred:

Experience in an office setting

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25,000.00 - $40,000.00 per year
