Pomeroy Independent Living Rochester Hills is currently recruiting for a dynamic ASSISTANT MAINTENANCE DIRECTOR. This position will be a member of our awesome maintenance team, serving as a back-up to the Maintenance Director with flexibility of serving at any of our locations with expertise, knowledge and experience. This position will be responsible for servicing our facility, residents and community. This position is full-time and is eligible for benefits after 60 days of employment. We also offer OnShift Wallet, which allows you access to up to 50% of your paycheck prior to pay day! This positions requires basic understanding of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, mudding and HVAC. We offer competitive salary, flexible schedules and a robust benefits package.

Qualifications

· Knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance requirements.

· Working knowledge of personal computer and software applications used in job functions, (word processing, graphics, databases, spreadsheets, etc.)

· Strong organizational and analytical skills; oral and written communication skills.

· Working knowledge and ability to apply professional standards of practice in job situations.

Supervisory Responsibilities

In addition to maintaining the physical plant and essential mechanical, electrical, and resident care equipment in safe operating condition.

• Plan daily work tasks
• Identify supply needs
• Place supply orders
• Maintain monthly reporting
• Manage monthly spenddowns
• Assist with the hiring process
• Maintain your department budget.
• Recommend independent contractors for repairs as needed.
