Restaurant Assistant General Manager

• General Manager - Job Summary: Oversees daily operations and maintains high standards of food quality, service, cleanliness, safety and sanitization for a single Subway store.

Responsibilities:

· Recruit and hire new employees including screening, interviewing, and checking references

· Provide employee training according to company guidelines including upselling and cross-training employees so employees can perform multiple functions

· Supervises and evaluates the performance of each employee

· Coaches low performing employees and terminates employees who do not improve

· Enforces appearance and uniform standards

· Ensures customer service practices are met

· Create and maintain a positive work environment where teammates have the opportunity to learn and develop

· Motivate, inspire, and challenge the team to consistently achieve and surpass company goals and standards

· Create the weekly employee work schedule and ensure all shifts are covered

· Keep labor and food costs in-line with budget

· Handle all monies and bank deposits in a safe and responsible manner

· Meet and exceed profit and loss goals

· Complete all daily and weekly store paperwork including weekly sales and labor reports

· Manage inventory and ordering processes to ensure an appropriate level of product and supplies are available

· Ensure proper and safe handling of food products

· Prepare product according to formulas and to customers' satisfaction

· Maintain food prep levels

· Minor and detailed cleaning of the restaurant ensuring all areas of the restaurant meets applicable standards for safety and cleanliness

· Other responsibilities as assigned by the Area Manager

REQUIREMENTS:

· Experience working with P&L statements, budgets, and cost controls

· Basic PC and smart phone knowledge

· Successful completion of the Subway manager training program

· ServSafe certification (or able to pass)

· Ability to read company materials

· Attention to detail

· Strong organizational skills

· Management experience in the restaurant industry

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
