OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
Assistant Director, Investigations is a title which carries peace officer status. Appointees must:
- Be a United States citizen.
- Be a resident of New York State at the time of appointment and maintain State residency continuously during employment.
- Have a valid New York State driver’s license.
- Be able to obtain a valid pistol permit.
- Pass a required pre-employment psychological test.
Assistant Director of Investigations is responsible for:
Developing and managing plans and operations to effect reciprocal agreements for information sharing between the Criminal Investigations Division and various federal, New York State and local municipal governmental and law enforcement authorities; managing collaborative investigative programs and task force operations with other law enforcement organizations; and for overseeing and coordinating statewide investigative programs and activities.
Work hours to be determined. Frequent travel across NYS, as
required. Some positions may require additional credentials or a background check to verify your identity.
