The
Assistant Dean, Corporate, Community and Continuing Education is responsible for effective and efficient performance of administrative duties that support the success of the subdivision. The Assistant Dean represents the College and serves the needs of the community and local businesses by assisting the Executive Director in the promotion and delivery of community education, corporate training, professional, economic and workforce development solutions. The Assistant Dean fosters a climate dedicated to program excellence and conducive to the tenets of a diverse learning community and workforce. The Assistant Dean is dedicated to the learning college concepts by developing programs and facilitating activities that promote both student and organizational success as well as lifelong learning.
Education/Experience
- Master’s degree required; business, training and development or related field.
- Five plus years professional experience in a management role with responsibilities including sales/business development, budgeting, supervising, planning, proposal/contract writing and customer service required.
- Five plus years industrial and/or business experience required. Program planning, and department supervision, within a higher education institution (preferably in a community college environment) strongly preferred.
- Three plus years college contract training experience in a university or community college setting with demonstrated success strongly preferred.

- Leadership, organizational and project management skills.
- Lead generation, solutions selling and proposal development expertise.
- Process development and continuous improvement skills.
- Strong budget management and project estimating/costing skills.
- Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.
- Proficiency using CRM (customer relationship management) technology to track customer interaction, execute outreach campaigns, manage sales pipeline and report activity/results.
- Proficiency using social media to segment customers and market goods and services.
- Outstanding verbal, listening, and written communication skills.
- Skilled collaborator, negotiator and diplomat. Excellent customer service skills.
- Ability to monitor the attainment of defined objectives and goals.
- Ability to understand and effectively work in diverse business, industry, and educational environments.

Monday – Friday 8:00 am to 5:15 pm
Summer Fridays: 8:00 am to noon
Nights and weekends as required. Must be able to travel as required, both locally and domestically.
