Job description

• Ensures accuracy of G/L by detailed analysis of monthly P&L and Balance Sheets. Analyzes accruals and performs forecasts as needed. Performs monthly balance sheet reconciliation/roll forward.
• Works with management to meet/exceed their job cost goals
• Works with the Controller to manage the cash flow
• Process all accounts receivable transactions and maintain AR /AP master data
• Perform customer collection as needed
• Help perform month end (and year end) close journal entries and creating a departmental checklist.
• Renew annual license plates for company vehicles.
• Perform annual workers compensation audit
• Maintain fixed assets and depreciation schedules.
• Complete monthly closing items such as journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations
• Cross train with the accounting associates in order to assist with the back-up of their jobs due to vacations or leaves.
• Complete the weekly upload for payroll deductions
• Oversight of payroll
• Coordinates year-end reporting and annual financial statement audits
• Assessing current accounting operations, offering recommendations for improvement and implementing new processes
• Perform Monthly/Quarterly/Annually tax reporting (Sales, Withholding)
• Other duties as assigned
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field required
• 5+ years of accounting experience required
• CPA (Preferred)
