Marissa Collections is looking to add an Assistant Controller to our team Partnering with the Controller, this role oversees the daily operations of the accounts payable/receivable team. The individual we are seeking will embrace and execute the company core values while actively supporting the company's vision and goals!

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Supervises AR and AP, works with vendors to maintain good working relationships and maintain excellent communication process
  • Provides essential support to the Controller to provide accurate and timely financial reports on a monthly basis
  • Responsible for various key reconciliations such as cash, AR, AP and various Balance Sheet accounts
  • Assists in supporting annual tax preparation and filing with CPA firm keeping team on track and reviews data submissions
  • Creates and provides ad-hoc reports as required
  • Participates in the preparation of financial reports to leadership and management
  • Provides other managers and departments with information required by them to carry out their assigned responsibilities
  • Working closely with Controller to deliver reports, analysis findings, potential risk areas and forecast opportunities
  • Maintenance and documentation of finance procedures & policies with a continual improvement approach
  • Collaborate with the organization on areas to improve business efficiencies and reduce costs

REQUIRMENTS, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

  • Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration or equivalent work experience
  • 3+ years of Public Accounting or Private Industry accounting experience
  • Prior Supervisory experience preferred
  • Experience supporting and working with Human Resources (programs, payroll, and benefit administration) and Information Technology (basic networking and PC management) support strongly desired
  • Must be a master of Excel
  • Ability to work collaboratively across departmental functions
  • Excellent Interpersonal skills to include patience, being approachable and motivating others
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and possess excellent verbal and written communication skills

Pay: Up to $80,000.00 per year
