As an Assistant Brand Manager, you’ll work on specific brand-building initiatives to support the High Noon Brand team in the Spirits Business unit, the fastest growing BU at Gallo winery.


What You Will Do:


You will be a key player on the High Noon Brand Team in executing work that supports brand-building initiatives for the brand. You will be the point of contact for internal organizations ensuring that the brand strategy is reflected in owned media projects as well as support various workstreams from sales communication, media partnerships, PR, and more!


Brand Ownership:

  • Participates in brand-building initiatives for High Noon and helps to deliver Brand Plans to Marketing Leadership Team members, understanding key business drivers
  • Develops the materials and tools to communicate brand team messaging, plans and RTBs to sales organization, staying on top of and meeting all required deadlines.
  • Works with external agencies/partners to develop and execute marketing plans
  • Creates presentations and approves POS and other creative elements from internal and external partners ensuring they are aligned with brand strategies and guidelines
  • Executes assigned tasks to drive portions of a project/plan to completion
  • Owns development and creative updates of owned media channels such as organic social, consumer engagement, and website as well as local partnerships planning and execution
  • Regularly travels to key markets and Gallo headquarters in Modesto to support business initiatives/objectives
  • Executes brand marketing support tasks.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Functions as the primary point of contact and conduit on behalf of the Brand Team for internal organizations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive forward brand platforms/ strategies
  • Participates in the Scrum/Agile process for the Brand Team on assigned brands
  • Collaborates with sales, commerce, consumer engagement, regional marketing, and e-retail teams to support cohesive plans.
  • Supports the local execution of brand partnerships and sponsorships.
  • Secures the Compliance department’s approval and communicates brand/product content for use in tasting notes, customer programming, and consumer communications
  • Maintains satisfactory attendance, to include timeliness.



Research/Analytics

  • Observe and analyze trends and competitive activities to seek out innovative ways to drive brand growth
  • Analyzes monthly data and develops recommendations/hypothesis to appropriate requestor.

What You Will Need:

  • Bachelor’s degree plus 3 years of communications, finance, marketing, supply chain/supply planning, process development, new product development, project management, process engineering, or sales experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility; OR Bachelor’s degree plus 2 years of Gallo experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility; OR High School Diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate plus 7 years of communications, finance, marketing, supply chain/supply planning, process development, new product development, project management, process engineering or sales experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility.
  • Required to travel to company offices, sites, and/or meeting locations for onboarding, training, meetings, and events for development, department needs, and business delivery up to 5% of the time, with or without reasonable accommodation. This may be in addition to travel requirements, if applicable, as listed in this job description.

What Will Set You Apart:

  • Bachelor of Business Administration degree plus 4 years of Gallo brand marketing experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility.
  • Experience training and developing junior level brand marketers in executing brand and organizational objectives.
  • Experience effectively presenting information to top management, public groups and boards of directors.
  • Experience managing business operations and leveraging basic finance and accounting principles.
  • Skilled in reading, analyzing, and interpreting common scientific and technical journals, financial reports and legal documents.
  • Experience responding to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.
  • Experience writing speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format.
  • Skilled in interpreting an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
  • Experience performing work that is complex and varied in nature, requiring frequent evaluation, originality or ingenuity.
  • Skilled in the use of MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Excel and MS database at an intermediate level; IRI, Brio and Spectra at a basic level.

Compensation

  • Hiring Salary Range: $77,400 - $116,000.
  • Actual compensation amount paid may be lower or higher to be determined by factors other than race and gender such as the education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
