  • Hiring Immediately for 4 day work week! Monday thru Thursday, 10 hour days
Shift: 4:15 pm - 2:45 am Monday - Thursdays ; Fridays are voluntary overtime

The primary responsibility of the assembler is to put together medical devices under close supervision, in semi-structured assignments that require adherence to defined procedures and/or specific, detailed instructions with limited originality. The Assembler follows detailed instructions to assemble complex items. Solves problems of limited scope and complexity.

POSITION AUTHORITY

This position has the authority to stop production at his/her work station when there is question or concern about the acceptability of materials, subassemblies, assemblies and processes that affect the quality and safety of Viant products.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
  • Monday thru Thursday, 10 hours. Occasional overtime on Fridays as needed.
  • Performs assembly and/or packaging operations per approved documentation and training.
  • Performs equipment set-ups.
  • Applies acquired knowledge of company's quality system to inspect product and paperwork for compliance to production standards.
  • Identifies areas for process improvement and makes recommendations to supervision.
  • Reviews documentation for completeness and accuracy. Maintains high standards in quality and throughput.
  • Applies common sense understanding to carry out detailed written and oral instructions. Demonstrates understanding of the product and process flow for assigned work area.
  • Certified to operate equipment in assigned work area, if necessary.
  • Once trained, able to work with little supervision. Maintains high standards in quality and throughput, within company norms for rejects and output.
  • Handles multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Always follows safety procedures.
  • Maintains work area in a neat and orderly manner.

  • Report to work on time consistently, make the best use of time during the workday.

QUALIFICATION
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Written and oral communications skills sufficient to speak clearly and distinctly, and read simple instructions in English
  • Must have completed training for assigned work area.
  • A minimum of 0 to 4 years of experience is preferred
  • Requires the ability to judge distance and space relationships (i.e. visualize objects of multiple dimensions).
  • Requires the ability to adjust a microscope lens to bring an object into sharp focus.
  • Performs basic arithmetic calculations.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND ENVIRONMENT
  • Light physical activity performing non-strenuous, day-to-day activities of a primarily productive nature.
  • Moderate lifting (20 lbs), carrying (10 lbs), bending, and prolonged sitting.
  • Manual dexterity sufficient to reach/handle items, work with fingers, and perceive attributes of objects and material.
  • Requires the ability to identify and distinguish colors. Intensive handwork.
  • Well-lighted, air-conditioned, indoor laboratory/production setting with adequate ventilation
