Asphalt Equipment Operator (SealPros, Inc.)
Job description
SealPros is a leader in the Asphalt Paving and Maintenance industry; We are currently seeking operators on our asphalt paving crew. The selected candidate will be required to work with other co-workers and managers in a team environment. Safely operate heavy equipment of various sizes and weights used in road, site or highway construction and paving. Report any problems to the manager. The operator will be responsible for a safe work environment for themselves and co-workers (constant eye contact will be maintained when backing, communicating using hand signals, or other movements). Follow directions from the supervisor as to daily tasks and expectations for each specific job site/project. Perform minor servicing/maintenance of equipment. Perform general physical labor and assist in training less-experienced employees.
Responsibilities
- Operate a steel-faced roller
- Operate Asphalt Paver
- Operate an Asphalt Screed
- Operate an oil distributor truck
- Operate Commercial Vehicles
- Must be able to read and understand construction plans
- May occasionally be assigned to other responsibilities
- Maintain accurate timecards and paperwork
Skills and Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in asphalt paving
- Class A CDL Valid Driver’s license preferred
- Reliable transportation to and from work
- Able to work overtime
- Must be dependable, with minimal time off
- Maintain accurate timecards and job paperwork
- Maintain a strict attitude towards safety and company policy
- Some heavy lifting - minimum of 50lbs
