Salary range : $80,000-100,000

Position Summary:

The Art Director is responsible for the conceptual application and execution of Bio-Techne’s brand strategy across various marketing channels including, enterprise campaigns, product launches, demand generation campaigns, digital and print communications, environmental graphics, brand activations, packaging, storyboarding, etc. In addition, the Art Director will be leading a team of graphic designers. Reporting to the Creative Director, this position will work with direct reports, Campaign Managers and Product Managers to bring campaigns to life.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop compelling concepts and designs that differentiate our brand.
• Supervise a team of graphic designers and their creative projects from inception to completion.
• Lead client calls, pitching concepts and articulating design decisions.
• Create innovative design solutions, from concept to completion, across all communication platforms.
• Solid organizational skills
• Build partnerships with key departments throughout the organization and foster a culture of teamwork, collaboration and action toward company-wide strategic goals.

Education and Experience:

• 5+ years of design experience.
• At least 2 years of experience leading other designers and providing direction across multiple media types (print, digital, social, etc).
• A college degree in Graphic Design or equivalent work experience.
• Strong portfolio showcasing diversity of work.
• Ability to travel periodically based on business needs.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Portfolio of distinguished work.
• A strategic thinker, collaborator, and creative problem-solver.
• A skilled designer with experience translating marketing strategies into persuasive campaigns.
• Supervisor of graphic designers and their creative projects from inception to completion.
• Advanced knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite is required.
• Preferred: knowledge of HTML/CSS, Microsoft Office Suite and illustration.
