($750 bonus at 90 days on job)

Heartland Security Services is seeking an Armed Security Officer to become an integral part of our team. We are Veteran owned and operated with over 20 years of service in the Kansas City area. Firearms training, defensive tactics training, and relevant training on case law provided.

Uniforms are also provided. Successful candidate must be able to purchase relevant equipment for the position, such as handcuffs and duty belt, etc.

*This position requires all employees to be 21 years of age or older. All applicants must be able to qualify through KCPD PQC *

FT/PT work is available for both day and night shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Starting pay is $19.50 with the opportunity for performance assessments and bonuses every 6 months, based on overall performance. PTO is accrued 1 week after 6 months, 2 weeks/year after one year, and 3 weeks/year after 5 years

JOB DUTIES:

- Patrol premises to prevent and react to crime, violence, or infractions of rules.

- Thoroughly examine doors, windows, and gates to ensure proper functionality and security.

- Warn violators of premise rules and regulations. Investigate or detain persons engaging in suspicious or criminal acts.

- Report any facility issues such as fire hazards and leaking water pipes.

- Request emergency services personnel relevant to any situation that is observed on property.

- Operate within all laws and regulations applicable to the properties assigned.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS :

- Must be able to obtain a class A armed patrol agent license from KCPD private officers licensing unit.

- Ability to handle physical workload, possibility of overtime.

- Possess reliable transportation.

- Maintain a strong attention to detail.

- Be on time and reliable.

Previous experience in security, law enforcement, military, or other related fields preferred but not required.
