Job Description


Our US Food division is based in Sacramento, CA. and we are always looking for passionate individuals to join our organization. For this position we are specifically looking for an experienced Area Sales Manager in the Midwest region.

You Will:

  • Handle some of our major key accounts, maintain close contact with your customers, and foster those relationships long-term.
  • Receive and own ambitious, but achievable sales targets.
  • Ensure generated proposals, quotations, and order confirmations align with TOMRA’s policy and pricing terms and are updated within CRM.
  • Perform regular customer site visits and provide consultancy with new machine start-ups, products, and services.
  • Execute reviews with agents, propose new applications and products, follow-up on all customer inquiries, and provide additional support as needed.

Qualifications


Qualifications:

  • 5 years of experience in capital industrial equipment sales, technical sales and/or within the food processing industry.
  • You are intrigued by travelling at least 50 - 60% of the time, and with a high degree of flexibility.
  • You are tech-savvy and like to learn, like to work under pressure or be presented with a good challenge, and present innovative ideas and solutions.
  • You have expertise in managing key accounts and large territories, and have a proven track record of exceeding sales targets.
  • You love to relate to customers, their views, and issues, locally and in other countries and cultures.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to drive without restrictions and for long distances.
  • Must be able to frequently bend, kneel, or stand.
  • Must be able to travel domestically, and internationally as needed, up to 50 – 70% of the time.
  • Must be able to work from home or office base and attend the office base 20% of the time.
  • Must be able to work in Food Processing plants, farms, and high/low temperature facilities.
