AREA MANAGER – INVENTORY, WAL-MART TRAVEL TEAM

As the Area Manager, you’ll inspire our in-store teams to operate to perfection. You'll also have an entrepreneurial spirit and a proven record in developing business targets and employees.
Your responsibilities…
- Assist the District Manager in managing, developing, and energizing your dedicated district personnel.
- Driving financial success through proper planning, budgeting, scheduling, in-store execution, expense control and P&L management, reporting directly to the District Manager
- Commitment to exceeding all deliverables and established metrics set forth by OSL and our Clients
- Provide effective leadership and management of a team of 35 - 50 Inventory Specialists, communicating and assigning work assignments and project expectations to ensure that all jobs have the appropriate level of support
- Responsible for recruitment, training, evaluating and development of Inventory Specialists in assigned geographic area supervising the daily inventory count activities
- Provide guidance ensuring inventory standards are being adhered to through regular visits within assigned geographic location
- Track completion of assignments, meeting company set completion goal monthly
- Work with various OSL departments to ensure all company and regulatory policies and procedures are followed.

- Continuous learning to develop various skill sets that will enable you to take on higher level responsibilities
Position Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of experience and education
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in managing multi-store operations.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience with Retail Merchandising
- Minimum of 2 years of experience with Inventory Count Management (Preferably in the Inventory Service Industry)
- Strong communication and service skills to build relationships with our customers and employees.
- Ability to work varied early morning, days, evenings, as well as flexible
- Ability to travel, up to 80% of the time, throughout the week to service our dedicated customer
- Can-do positive attitude, and Ownership Mindset is a must for this
- Individual who is eager to learn and develop for future promotional opportunities
- Demonstrated ability to build, train, develop and motivate a part-time workforce
- Proven ability to manage district fiscal budgets, forecast sales and retail metrics
- Computer smarts, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Previous Inventory Experience preferred
- Valid Driver’s license
