OTO Development is pleased to announce a wonderful opportunity for an Area Human Resources Business Partner located in Washington, D.C. Office will be located at our AC Hotel Washington, D.C. Position will require travel to all Washington, D.C., New York, and Maryland locations. This position requires up to 60% travel. You must be able to travel to these properties 3 out of the 5 workdays.

OTO Development is pleased to announce a wonderful opportunity for an Area Human Resources Business Partner!
What will you be doing most days?
Develop, maintain and support a business partnership with the hotel leadership and work teams, serving as an employee advocate, cultural ambassador, subject matter expert, and problem solver on employee issues
Check in with associates on any issues, work with corporate on leave management, benefit communication, associate training and other initiatives
Provide employee relations and engagement support to the region with the focus on achieving best in class workforce for high retention and associate engagement
Provide coaching/counseling to hotel leadership on employee issues, documentation, terminations, and navigating through employment laws
Assists with GMs & AGMs training on Team Member Handbook, Manager Self Service, and Recruitment /ATS
Develops and maintains employee relations tracking, reporting and analysis
Directly handling any Employment Relations matters and investigations within Region and working closely with Human Resources team
Conduct Exit interviews within the region and provide information to corporate & regional leadership
Provide training on a variety of employment related topics as needed
Actively and consistently participate in weekly hotel staff meetings, daily line up meetings, departmental meetings, as needed or otherwise requested
Support hiring managers with recruitment efforts and provide guidance, suggestions, and work on recruitment initiatives
Assist with orientation of new hires within the region
What are the requirements for this position?
You are Bi-Lingual
You have a minimum of 3-5 years experience in Human Resources (service/hospitality industry preferred) and are a skilled relationship builder at all levels
You have strong knowledge of regional Employment Law such as wage & hour, documentation, workers comp, federal and state leave of absence, and labor relations
You have a lot of empathy and service to help drive business, engagement and retention efforts
You extremely comfortable & skilled with coaching and counseling to our Property leaders (GM, AGM and Department Manager)
Your have excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
You have excellent training skills- expert user in power point, eLearning software, comfortable with leading training or rolling out new initiatives or reinforcing existing ones
Physical Requirements for this Position
You must be able to walk and stand for extended periods of time as the job dictates.
Travel Requirements
This position requires up to 60% travel. You must be able to travel to our properties 3 out of the 5 workdays. Travel is outside the local area and overnight.
