John Zink Hamworthy Combustion a Koch Engineered Solutions Company is looking for a motivated and self-driven Applications Engineer for our Process Engineered Solutions Retrofit Team in Tulsa, OK. John Zink Hamworthy Combustion (JZHC) is a global leader in emissions-control and clean-air combustion systems. The successful candidate should possess strong technical skills as well as excellent communication skills. They should have the ability to evaluate customer needs and provide them with the best solution to address their concerns. Previous sales experience or experience in the oil/gas industry is highly desirable.

What You Will Do In Your Role

  • Develop relationships with customers
  • Review customer inquiry packages for process, technical, and commercial requirements
  • Qualify the requirements internally as well as researching alternate solutions
  • Prepare detailed technical / commercial proposals
  • Engineering design and equipment selection
  • Develop cost estimates
  • Making technical / sales presentations to clients
  • Negotiate legal and commercial contracts with clients
  • Work closely with the field team and outside sales in developing retrofits for customers
  • Develop and maintain relationships with internal groups such as field technicians, controls engineering, project managers, drafting, purchasing, legal, accounting, and manufacturing
  • Occasional exposure to customer facilities; proper PPE must be worn at these times

The Experience You Will Bring

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field
  • Experience with technical sales in a manufacturing/engineering environment
  • Understanding of technical drawings and specifications
  • Willing to travel 15-25% of the time

What Will Put You Ahead

  • Experience in the oil/gas vapor control markets
  • Experience with Combustion Equipment
  • Proficient in Salesforce
  • System and/or process design experience or related experience within an "engineered to order", manufacturing environment
