Modine Manufacturing Company is hiring for an Application Engineering Supervisor to head a newly developed team within our Liquid Cooled Applications vertical!

What Will You Do?
You will be spearheading the development of a brand new team as a within our Liquid Cooled Applications vertical to support cooling applications for specialized automotive vehicles. You will have a direct Designer II reporting to you, and you will report to a Director of Application Engineering. This position is open to two locations, with one being our global HQ in Racine, Wisconsin, and the other being our manufacturing plant in Joplin, Missouri.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Oversee members of the team, including Application Engineers, Designers, and Co-Ops and Interns.
• See that appropriate products and services are brought to our customers and meet their expectations.
• Communicate with departments within Modine to coordinate and prioritize projects.
• Develop and maintain appropriate customer and supplier contacts, as well as visit with customers and suppliers.
• Train and evaluate direct reports to help with career development and growth.
• Ensure application of programs per Modine Program Management Process are followed.
• Design heat exchangers and cooling system modules for assigned customers.
• Provide technical assistance to the customer's engineering teams when needed.
• Coordinate building and accuracy of prototypes and samples.
• Specify testing requirements and analyze test results to validate performance and durability of products and designs.
• Work with manufacturing plants to ensure products are delivered on time, meeting customer requirements.
• Monitor feedback from customers and field teams and initiate product improvement when needed.

QUALIFICATIONS

• A Bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical, or another engineering field, or a related technical field, is required.
• At least 5 years of experience in application, mechanical, or related engineering is required.
• Experience with project management and coordination is required.
• Knowledge of APQP is required.
• Experience launching products as it related to New Product Introduction is required.
• Working knowledge and experience in thermodynamics, heat transfer, and thermal management is required.
• Prior leadership experience would be highly beneficial.

• Travel for this position is measured at about 20-25% to customer locations and Modine facilities.
