A services company in New Jersey is actively seeking a self-motivated and dynamic professional to join their staff as their new AP Specialist. In this role, the AP Specialist will support duties related to accounts payable functions.

Responsibilities

The AP Specialist will:

  • Support duties related to accounts payable functions
  • Enter invoices daily in QuickBooks
  • Record data in Excel
  • Reconcile all vendor accounts monthly
  • Perform basic office tasks, such as filing, data entry, answering phones, etc.
  • Maintain confidentiality of all financial data
  • Assist with audits, fact checks, and resolving discrepancies

Qualifications

  • Associate's degree in related field
  • 3+ years of experience in Accounting or Finance
  • Familiarity with basic accounting principles
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Exceptional time management, organizational, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Ability to demonstrate the ability to manage a variety of priorities
Desired skills
  • Proficient with computers and bookkeeping software such as, MS Office, MS Excel and QuickBooks Enterprise
