Overview:
The Norman Regional Health Foundation (NRHF) provides philanthropic support to Norman Regional Health System (NRHS), a team of more than 3,500 healers all working together to serve our community as the leader in health and wellness care.
Responsibilities:
Under the supervision of the Foundation’s Executive Director, the Annual Giving Specialist is a full-time position responsible for the development and implementation of annual fundraising, cultivation and acquisition programs. This includes leading year-round campaigns and relationship building efforts to diverse constituents. This position develops strategies and campaigns (Employee Giving, Grateful Patient/Guardian Angel, Giving Tuesday, annual fund, etc.) to secure contributions and manages stewardship of annual donors in recognizing support. The position also oversees NRHF marketing and communications, internal and external grant programs and the internship program.

Essential Responsibilities
  • Develops and executes an annual giving solicitation plan that includes fundraising strategies to launch various giving opportunities for NRHF (annual giving campaigns: employee giving campaign, Giving Tuesday, year-end, Guardian Angel and Grateful Patient).
  • Manages a portfolio of annual giving prospects and helps qualify prospective major donors.
  • Works with donors in designating gifts such as memorial/honorary gifts, Guardian Angel and special projects or program initiatives.
  • Develops a schedule and marketing plan for donor acquisitions and renewals. Works with the Foundation Team to coordinate the schedule and strategies for annual giving appeals and direct mail. This includes creating concepts, writing and editing appeal content and overseeing mailing procedures.
  • Oversees communication strategies (newsletters, social media, local magazines) for internal and external audiences. Edits content for foundation website and social media around annual giving activity.
  • Works with Donor Engagement/Event Coordinator to plan donor stewardship activities and events.
  • Serves as lead staff for board committees – Awards & Grants and Advancement.
  • Identifies and segments data for appeals and special projects, as well as produce database reports and queries to track campaigns and appeals status. Analyzes data and makes appropriate adjustments to activities and programs to ensure strong results. Performs annual evaluation of annual giving efforts.
  • Coordinates internal grant process which includes application review; committee review; awarding grant; track purchasing and promote grant program internally and externally.
  • Manages external grant process by conducting interdepartmental meetings to identify and prioritize project needs and coordinate with contracted grant writers. Oversees grant reporting as requested.
  • Participates in foundation events.
  • Schedules regular outreach presentations to service clubs, community groups and potential funding organizations, both off and on-site.
  • Attends regional Chambers of Commerce events and networking opportunities.
  • Oversees Foundation intern
  • Assists with Norman Regional Health System initiatives as needed

Qualifications:
  • Bachelors level degree in related field (non-profit management, communications, public relations, marketing, human relations).
  • A minimum three years of non-profit and/or professional experience with an emphasis on marketing, communications and donor relations is preferred.
  • Ability to maintain a flexible schedule to accommodate occasional early mornings, nights and weekends for events.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office and have working knowledge of graphic design programs-Canva or Adobe Creative Suite
