Hilltop Lab Animals, Inc. supplies high quality laboratory animals (Rats, Mice and Guinea Pigs) for the research and pharmaceutical industry.

Entry level Animal Care Technicians will shower and or dress into clean facilities (barriers) daily to maintain laboratory animal colonies. The successful candidate will work efficiently with a team of several technicians in a fast-paced work environment.

Responsibilities include:

• Feeding animals
• Changing bedding
• Cleaning cages
• Preparing and moving supplies
• Preparing animals for shipping
• General cleaning and janitorial work
• Adherence to training and standard operating procedures

Hilltop is looking for full time (With Benefits) and part time workers. Hours will be flexible daytime hours with some weekend work. Starting pay is $17.00 per hour increasing to $17.50 after successful completion of a 90-day review. Bonuses will be distributed every 6 months (~$500+ for a full-time employee that has worked at least 6 months).

Paid vacation (1 week) will be available to full-time employees after they have worked1000 hours. After that new full-time employees will accrue 2 weeks a year. Tuition reimbursement will be available.

Please note that Hilltop Lab Animals employees are not permitted to keep certain animals. Prohibited animals generally include but are not limited to rats, mice, guinea pigs, other rodents, rabbits, certain reptiles, predatory birds etc. Animals that are acceptable include dogs, cats, fish and animals typically considered farm animals.
