Physical Requirements
The physical requirements for this position may include standing or sitting for greater than five hours at a time and possibly walking several miles per day, as well as the ability to reach items above/or below shoulder-level and lift /carry items weighing up to 30 lbs. Position is greater than 50% repetitive motion. Also involves some risk of back injury from moving, lifting or positioning patients, equipment, or materials; risk of injuries from use of equipment on the job; and exposure to blood-borne or airborne pathogens, hazardous chemicals and fumes including waste, cuts/punctures, burns, and combative/violent people.
Shift
Primarily day and early/mid evening shifts participating in weekend and an occasional holiday rotation. Shifts, location of shift, and days of week subject to change based on the needs of the department. Position is a 60hr/2 week pay period fully benefitted position.
Job Summary
Compounds and dispenses medications and pharmaceutical supplies upon receiving written or electronic orders from physicians; reviews and interprets prescriptions and drug profiles to ensure appropriate drug therapy has been prescribed and drug interactions are monitored. This is an hourly, 60 hours per 2 week pay period position.
