Job description
The Courtyard Newark - University of Delaware has an immediate opening for AM Bistro Servers with dynamic personalities and strong technical skills for a very busy hotel. We are an award-winning, highly-reputable hotel with a diverse customer base that requires top-notch customer service.
The servers ensure that the guests have an enjoyable dining experience. They take guest’s orders, help in making the meals and serve meals and drinks. The Servers also assist the customers with special requests and food specifications. Work shifts vary from 5am-12pm every day of the year, including holidays. Alcohol awareness certification and prior serving experience preferred, but not required.
Both full time and part time positions available. Beneifts including medical, dental, vision, life and 401k available to full time positions.
Interested candidates for this position must have...
- At least one year serving experience preferred
- Starbucks experience preferred but not required.
- At least one year of experience in a hotel preferred.
- Demonstrated problem-solving abilities.
- Have strong multi-tasking skills in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to follow directions and work both independently and with a team.
- Must have schedule flexibility, including occasional availability on evenings, weekends and holidays required.
- Prior Marriott experience a plus.
